Feb 4, 1846 Jeremiah Higgins and Samuel Richards, overseers of the poor in Eden do bind Harriet Smith , a minor, to Amos Clements as a servant until she is 18 Clements agrees to keep and support Harriet, teach her to read and write, furnish her with suitable food and clothing in sickness and in health and furnish a physician if necessary Harriet is the daughter of Esther Smith
