The print is of three men working on the hull of a motorboat in drydock. They are replacing the wooden planking and ribs on the port side towards the stern. The motor launch is white with a dark stern. Looking under the stern two boats are partially visible with large numbers on their sides. On the left side of the photo is a hull of a large gray boat with a number on the hull in the style that the numbers were displayed during World War II. One is sitting astride a bicycle. There are other bicycles near these two men. Nautical flags are flying and there is an old car parked on the road. The car is from the late 40's early 50's vintage. Judging from the subjects, the car and the size of the clubhouse, this photo was taken before the late 1960's. [show more]
