Description: Poster for the Bar Harbor Horse Show. Poster is a Charles W. Holmes Lithograph depicting a woman with a light blue bonnet holding a parasol and holding a horse's face to her own. The Horse is poking its head out of a circle in the blank background of the print. Text of the poster reads: "Bar Harbor Horse Show Aug. 23, 24, 25 1910" In the lower left hand corner is the phrase "When Thoroughbreds Meet" and above that, next to the parasol tip, is Holmes' signature "Chas. Inside are 5 hand-rolled cigarettes and an inscription that reads "We transmit to you this wireless message of our boundless love and confidence. Christmas 1917. 'the Boys' the Otter Cliffs Radio Station".

Description: BOX 1 (record carton box) The Redbooks, 1912-2020 (missing 1913, 1917, 1918, 1948). Now called The Redbook--originally called Directory and Hand Book--these social registers list residents and their contact information, cottage locations and owners, businesses, various transportation schedules, tide charts, advertisements, and important phone numbers. The first book published in 1912 by Stella L. Hill was green, all the rest are red. The Redbook celebrated its 100 anniversary in 2012 and is still produced to this day. [show more]
Description: Black and white mounted photograph of The Briars, a summer cottage located along the Shore Path, Bar Harbor. The Briars was designed by architect William Ralph Emerson in the Shingle Style, and was built for J. Montgomery Sears. This photograph depicts the water-facing elevation of the house. The embossed stamp of H.L. Bradley, the photographer, is visible in the lower left of the photograph .
Description: Black and white photograph of the interior of the Congregational Church, Mount Desert Street, Bar Harbor. This church was built started in 1888 and completed in 1889. It was built by Asa D. Hodgkins, contractor, and designed by William Ralph Emerson, architect. It replaced an earlier building, called "The White Church" and burned in 1942.
Description: Black and white photograph of Homewood, the Maria D. Saunders Cottage in Bar Harbor. Homewood was located on the Eagle Lake Road. It was designed by William Ralph Emerson and built by John E. Clark. The house burned in 1947. The photograph is dated and identified on the back.
